NOSE TIP RHINOPLASTY

Nose tip aesthetics, also known as tip rhinoplasty, is a cosmetic surgical procedure aimed at addressing issues specifically related to the nasal tip. This procedure is typically performed on individuals who do not have any deformities or deviations in the nasal bone but are experiencing problems limited to the tip of the nose. These issues may include drooping of the nasal tip, curvature of the nasal tip, excessively wide or narrow nostrils, etc. The goal of tip rhinoplasty is to achieve the desired aesthetic appearance of the nose and correct existing deformities.

Tip rhinoplasty can be performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the nasal issue. The duration of the procedure may vary, typically ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. Patients can usually be discharged on the same day of the surgery and may resume their daily activities shortly thereafter.

The procedure can be performed using either an open or closed technique, based on the patient's preference and the surgeon's decision. In the open technique, a small incision is made between the two nostrils, similar to a traditional rhinoplasty procedure. The resulting scar is not permanent and tends to fade over time.

On the other hand, the closed technique involves making a small incision inside the nostrils. Dissolvable stitches are used in this method, eliminating the need for suture removal. The recovery time is typically shorter compared to the open technique, as no manipulation of the nasal bones is involved, and nasal packing is not required.

Postoperative care following tip rhinoplasty may include avoiding touching the operated area for a short period, refraining from heavy physical activities for a few days, using elevated pillows to aid in recovery, and following specific instructions provided by the surgeon. The recovery process usually involves minimal discomfort, which can be managed with prescribed pain medication.

It is important to follow postoperative instructions carefully to ensure optimal healing and aesthetic outcomes.
